Also I heard for SS learning journey!!!! The first one third of the class going to semakau!!!! Semakau is very pretty!!!! And then the second third going to the Tuas incineration plant I think and then the third third going to the Tuas transfer centre!! Or maybe the other way round. But pulau semakau is one of prettiest placest I've been to just because it's just one block of land right in the middle of the sea. But it's not confirmed but I have my sources :D

Hello my dear friends,

I've just counted the money in the envelopes! Which I split already, and the current status is:

MWS Hong Bao Drive: $30.20
Red Cross: $10.25
Total: $40.45

(MWS is for children and youth-at-risk, poor families, destitute people with no family or place to stay, the sick & frail, terminally ill)

And so therefore, I conclude that I am very proud of all of you and so is the entire world! Which class donates $40.45 to charity?

Anyway, so please donate more because they need the money more than you! And SOME PEOPLE HAVEN'T DONATED.

Donating is important, it gives you a sense of satisfaction and joy and accomplishment, because you just did a good deed. The more money, the more joy! I encourage every one of you to donate as much as you can!

Our class shall be known for its kindness and compassion and the chairperson forcing you to donate money!

Anyway, I am very proud of you all, because even though I made this compulsory for each and everyone of you and made you all have to donate at least 10 cents, I'm proud of all of you in the sense that nobody donated 10 cents only! All of you donated beyond what was expected of you! If all of you donated 10 cents only, we would only end up with $3.10! But we have clearly far exceeded that amount! And some people donated yet!!!! So we shall exceed exceed exceed!

So, therefore, please allow yourselves to feel good about this.

And if you haven't donated, you have no right to feel good until you have donated! >.< And if you would like to donate more to feel better (just spare change is also alright!), you can still do so until er next week! And to end this encouraging post (I hope it was), I have no idea why you guys donated 3 times as much money to MWS than Red Cross (okay, one person donated $20 I think), but it doesn't matter as long as the money does not sponsor my lunch, right?

Century Gothic

Hey guys! You may have noticed that the 315 *heart* looks different on the mac. That's because century gothic isn't installed on your mac.

To install century gothic, go download the font file from the internet. (alternatively, http://www.font-zone.com/download.php?fid=3078)

Make sure the file name ends with the extension .ttf

Drag the font file to the fonts folder in the macbook.

To get to the fonts folder, just go to the spotlight and search for "Font Book"

And you're done!

And this is also how you install other fonts on your book.

Class Locker

Hey guyz

I was thinking, would you all like a class locker to be put in class?
Like not all the lockers, just like two or three, for your macs.

So that when we go for morning assembly or anything, not everybody can take care of our macs. So we can just dump it in the class locker and then lock it then go for assembly.

Why in class? Convenient :)

And the lock thing, it would be good if everybody knows the combination, so everybody can access it. We can work this out.

So are you all, like agreeable? Er, because I think it's really troublesome to always go: "Hello, you got locker right? Can I share your locker?"

Yeah.

We can ask Ms Tan about this too.

ORA WalkaJog

Hey guys, for those of you who wants to go to the ORA Walk-a-Jogathon, please fill up your forms, then er submit to Ling Ling/Yi Yun with $3.

We can only have a max of 7 joggers and 2 reserves.

So I leave it up to Ling Ling/Yi Yun to decide who gets to go. I don't know, maybe first come first serve, whoever hands up the form and the money first gets to go. But please do bug them the first thing they come to school, if not maybe they will not put your name down! Okay, up to them.

And er, Ling Ling/Yi Yun, I leave it up to you whoever is in charge. Just get it done.

Once you collect all $21 from the joggers (not reserves), make payment to the finance department and they will give you a receipt and the coupons.

Then, fill up the sign-up sheet with the names and details needed and staple the receipt to it then submit the form to the ORA WAJ box outside the PE dept by 1 Mar, Wed, 4 pm.

The sign-up sheet is available on inet. I'm not sure if there is a copy in the class tray as of now.

Stuff on the notice board

Hello guys. There are a few new things on the notice board that you probably didn't notice.

PB lost & found: If you lost and item, you need to get some appeals form from somewhere beside the class trays. And if there's something you've found, you give it to some prefect and etc.
SA schedule for sem 1. YARH.
Current science news! Remember the articles we read during Bio? that kind. It's from scitare and lyfe and is probably Mr Evans' idea. There will be new ones each week I think, so can the science reps (anyone of you) or anybody who's free, just pin the new articles on top of the old ones. Don't just leave it on the teacher's table and leave me to discover it one year later.
There was also a pamphlet for some science thing which is until 6 feb and the admission fee is $35. It's something to do with astronomy or space exploration or stuff like that. You know like satellites and astronauts. (My memory is only this good. And I didn't exactly read the brochure) Go take a look if you are interested in this kind of things.
PSB friendship week order form. They are selling friendship bands in 2 patterns for 1 dollar each. It's on the noticeboard at the side of the classroom. If you want to order, please bring your pen to the noticeboard and please do not bring the form to your table because like that it's very easy to get lost and nobody will be able to order anything and everybody will be sad and that will defeat the point of friendship week. I don't think the money is due anytime soon so you can just order first and prepare the money.
Class decor rules by PB with rubrics on the back. (YARH. RUBRICS.)
Duty roster.
Insurance details but you probably won't get injured anytime soon.
Birthdays (if you didn't know, you are a big gundu.)

That's all I think. It looks like a lot. But it's quite little. Because it's all trivial stuff that I exaggerated. Er, yeah, so next time if there's something in the class tray asking me to inform the whole class. I'll staple it up on the noticeboard and tell you all on the class blog that there's something new on the notice board (if I remember to) so you all can take a look by yourselves!

As for the locked door or else known as the door that cannot be closed, I think we will have to get the key from the GO to unlock the lock thing so it's closable but I think a teacher has to borrow the key.

And I'll post homework later.
